First, let me say congrats the the 675 CW2(P), 375 CW3(P), and 70 CW4(P) that were announced today after a very long long long wait for the release of the list. As someone who was looked at this year, I can say personally that the wait has sucked although I have absolutely enjoyed all of the memes showing up on Facebook (we have got some very creative warrants out there with apparently to much free time on their hands).
So I know it’s a few days late (what can I say, I was getting ready for a turkey comma) but I wanted to take a minute to congratulate the Army’s newest cyber warrant officers (ya I’m still signal but I play cyber during the day). So with that being said congrats to:
Congrats to all of the NCOs who have been selected to join the ranks of the Signal Warrant Officer Corps.
I know I’m a little bit late getting this posted but here is the schedule for the first half of FY 18 warrant officer selection board. As I’ve written before a few times, it’s our job to find our replacements so make sure you take the time to talk to your NCOs that show promise and mentor them to come to the dark side.
Imagine this scenario…. “The first neutron passes the LD and engages enemy position. The enemy position is destroyed and the damage is extensive enough to cause an adjoining position to catch fire. When the ammunition in that adjoining position explodes it takes out another position…” Huh?

Hello from the right coast. According to the date on my last post, it has been 304 days since I last posted although I thought it had actually been considerably longer. So what has been happening in the last 43 weeks and 3 days?
The quality of our training will determine our mission success. Shortcuts during training can have negative long-term effects on our mission readiness. This article is intended to pick up where The Lost Art of Training left off. If you haven’t read it yet, I would suggest you start there.
Technical competence is the foundation on which our profession is built. We are in a constant race to maintain a relevant set of skills. Technology is continuously changing and evolving like shifting sand under our feet. If we fail to learn and adapt, we will be left behind.
So in case you missed it, at long last the FY 15 warrant officer promotion list was released (two weeks into FY16). You can see the list here. While I am sure that branch will send out their analysis shortly a couple of quick numbers after looking at the list.
